The West Valley FoundationThe West Valley Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 organization, strives to promote diversity and tolerance, and to provide business and educational opportunities that encourage diversity in our community. For decades, the West Valley Foundation has partnered with Estrella Mountain Community College and Glendale Community College, in which campus leaders have been represented on the board. The signature event of the West Valley Foundation is the Cesar Chavez Breakfast – Celebrating Diversity, which attracts approximately 600 attendees. It exists as a pivotal event in the West Valley, which is supported by community leaders, businesses, and educational institutions, among others. The partnership between EMCC, GCC, and the West Valley Foundation has proven beneficial to the college in building goodwill in the community, demonstrating support for diversity in the workplace, and extending educational opportunities to passionate students in their goals to pursue higher education.
