Levi Lowery is a Diné (D neh) flute maker and flutist born in Phoenix AZ and raised in the homelands of his ancestors known as Diné Bikéyah where he learned to make flutes from his late uncle, Virgil Teller. A normally time consuming and strenuous method has been adapted to utilize modern tools combined with ancient knowledge to create the visual art form of sound in the Northern plains style flutes Levi creates and prays over from the beginning stage to the final sound testing of each flute.
